Submit to God's Way

“..fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands..”-Deuteronomy 28:1

Have you ever tried something and got the results you wanted and then tried the same thing again and got different results? Reading the bible in Numbers chapter 20 we know this happened to Moses. God told Moses to strike the rock when they needed water.. He struck it and water flowed out. The next time they needed water God told Moses, “Speak to the rock.” Do you know what Moses did? He went over and struck the rock. He thought, “Hey, it worked last time. It’ll work this time.” But it didn’t. God had a different plan and because He didn’t do as God said, God tells Moses that he will no longer be permitted bring the people into the Promised Land. Numbers 20:12 says “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them”

Don’t miss out on what God has in store for you!

Make adjustments and stay in tune with His plan. God’s small adjustments can make a major difference in the outcome and in the process all you have to do is continue to trust Him. Don’t reject God and try to take control. Moses failed to trust God for the life-supplying water. He tried to take matters into his own hands. He was supposed the be the leader, but also the servant of God. He tried to usurp God's place. Don’t make the same mistake. By choosing to obey God, you’re aligning with what He is doing and you will experience His presence, His voice, and a life that is meant for you.

God has a plan, a purpose, and many promises that include you. Make sure you aren’t doing things just because it’s the way you always did it before. God is always communicating with you. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit inside you and follow direction. Being obedient  is the one and only real true way we can show God we love Him.

Follow His lead and stay in tune with the plan He has for you!

Willingly submit  to God’s way, allow the precepts of Jesus to guide your life.  By obeying Him, you will enter into the joy of walking in God’s best for you!

“ Father God, I submit my mind, will and heart to You. Help me to see clearly what Your plan is for me. Help me to stay close to You always, not living in the past, but pressing forward to the new things You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
