Give Him Praise

They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD.” -1 Chronicles 23:30

Before your feet hit the floor in the morning, praise the Lord!

Praising God takes the negative and turns it into a positive by showing us how much better the day would be if we began it with Him. William McDowell has a wonderful song called, “Give Him Praises”.

Are you not a morning person? Are you unsure how in the world you could squeeze God-time into your hectic schedule? Chances are it will be hard for you to succeed on your own. Stop trying and ask God to help change things. After all spending time with you is the desire of His heart as well.

Many times, we can feel that there isn't enough time in the day to get everything done. Time  is something we all treasure, something we wish we had more of, but it just seems to slip so quickly through our fingers. There have been times in my life I found myself thinking if only I had time I would have spent a little more time in prayer, or study that verse in the the Bible a little longer, helped a neighbor etc. I know it is at these times I need to assess my priorities.

What should my focus be each day?

As a Christian I should be serving God and putting Him first no matter what I am doing. We need to love God with all our heart, soul and mind.- Matthew 22:37 If we love God with all our heart then we will want to spend time with Him and give Him the best times throughout our day.

Psalm 100:2 says Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Start the day committing it to God in prayer and asking for his help and guidance throughout the day and Give Him the Praise He deserves.

“While I live I will praise the Lord. I will sing praises to my God. While I have my being.” -Psalm 146:2

Father God, thank You for desiring to spend time with me. Please continue to mold me into the person who desires to be with You more and more each day. You said if we seek, we will find. Help me seek You above all else and to find the best way to worship You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
