Transition is A Process

"The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you" Deuteronomy 7:22

In Genesis 12:1-3 Abraham was told by God to leave his home and his family to go to a place that He would show him. Abraham did not know where he was going but he knew what God promised him. God’s promise was to make him a father of a great nation, to bless him, to make him famous and to be a blessing to others. God would bless those who blessed him and curse those who cursed him. Through Abraham all of the on earth would be blessed.

We have the same promise that God gave to Abraham! -Galatians 3:9 We are even blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. -Ephesians 1:3 God has designed change to be a process, not an event. Getting to the next level does not happen quickly. Successful transition takes time, it’s a process.

We all go through times of transition. God’s will is always changing us. We should enjoy the process and remember we are not going through it alone. It isn’t always comfortable but it is life and it is God’s will. We are changed when we move deeper into our relationship with God and yes God is interested in the end result of the changes He orchestrates in our lives just as much as you are interested in the end results, but the growth and maturity that accompany transition are also very important to Him. For this reason, He typically works diligently, deliberately and more slowly than you and I might want.

Nevertheless, His timing is perfect. And the entire transition process is part of a grand plan for your life that will bring you great joy and fulfillment as you patiently cooperate with it. That being said, I don’t know where God is taking me, but I know there is purpose for the process. I know God will not eliminate all the opposition against me at one time, nor will He set me in the land of promise without taking me through the experiences necessary for me to learn the lessons and develop the strength I will need in the new place He has for me, the place my transition is taking me.

He will take out my enemies, eliminating them one by one and I know this will take time and I will continue to trust Him. If God were suddenly to remove all the obstacles before us, we would find ourselves facing a big void, and that could pose a danger for us. God told the Israelites through Moses, "You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you" -Deut. 7:22

What is God about to do in your life? What new plans does He have for you that requires you to step out of your comfort zone? and one more question… What blessings do you see in this time of your transition?

Hold On! Little by little as His Word says. You will get where He wants you to go one step at a time. One day at a time. One victory at a time.

You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.- Proverbs 19:21
