“He will make a way to escape;” 1 Corinthians 10:13
We need “a way of escape” when out-of-control desires threaten our spiritual well-being and when we face temptation. There are many things we want to escape a couple of things that come to mind are temptation and sin. I for one being a caregiver experience days I want to escape because of the lack of support. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians that God will make a way of escape. God gives us the strength, support, and love we need to face all things and He also enables us to say “no” to enticement through the power of His Word. I escape by worshiping, reading my Bible, and quoting scripture. Did you know Jesus conquered Satan’s temptation relating to food, authority, and trust by quoting verses from Deuteronomy.? Scripture helped Him resist the devil despite the effects of a 40-day fast in the wilderness.
When we are tempted, when we feel like disaster is just around the bend we start gearing up memories of past failure and isolation from others. Which can intensify our bad feelings. Before all that starts remember you’re not alone. Trust God in moments of temptation; He is faithful. He will provide a way for us to resist the enemy and sin.
The best way to escape is to run to Jesus!
