LOVE ON PURPOSE

“All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” -John 13:35

We are to be the salt and light in the world in doing so we must learn to love people effectively and on purpose.  I have experienced God’s amazing free love but it is sad had quickly it can be forgotten at the turn of events in life. I know time and time again I have sang songs and told God I want Him to use me because of my desire for more and now He is using me at greater lengths but am I content to work with the person God has placed before me.? Love is a skill and on purpose I have decided I want to become good at it. I want to Be Blessed and Be a Blessing. I want to be one of those people that chooses to love others God’s way. Because the people that love on purpose are never bored, never lonely, and never down for too long and they are always willing to admit their sins and gain success.

I have welcomed in lives that are having difficulty, but haven’t always been willing to listen, I was at first until my focus got off track. See it’s like a friend said tonight if we stay in His presence we can’t get off track. I got out of His presence somewhere but I am thankful He showed me that and welcomed me right back.  I don’t care about recognition for “godliness” I just want to do God’s will by serving others and loving them God’s way.  That is my treasure and my purpose. It’s yours too! He calls us to love the unlovable. His word says “But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!  In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

Welcome to a new testing of your faith. What is that.? Well...Can you love your enemies in the way God loves His enemies.?

Love is a chosen behavior!  That’s right a choice. It’s a part of our free life.

YOU CAN on purpose love people even if you emotionally don’t like them.

YOU CAN be patient when someone is impatient with you.

YOU CAN choose to be polite when someone is unkind and rude.

Sometimes instead of leading you need to persevere in someone’s presence. You don’t just tolerate, you are serving the unloveable and that is just what Jesus did. Don’t Stop! No matter what it feels like know you are not alone and God is working.  Everthing has it’s time.  “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” -Proverbs 22:3

You have a new adventure to take notice of. God wants to use you to untwist a person. Everyone is created in God's image. So if we are worthy of love, so is everyone else because of who made them.  Because of sin, we're all really unlovable. But Christ changed the rules by offering love, grace and forgiveness.-Romans 5:8  If God can love us, surely we can love those around us.Two important things you need to remember: 1 Corinthians 8:1 “Knowledge puffs up but love builds up.” and 1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love Never Fails”

Father God, It is because of your Holy Spirit in me that I know I have the power to represent Christ—even in the most trying of circumstances. I know my calling as a Christian is difficult, but I also know I am not doing anything alone. Let my kindness portray the gospel to those around me who desperately need it. I want to love as you love on purpose. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

Use your God given freedom to serve one another in love ON PURPOSE!
