Don’t Let Your Weakness Hinder Your Purpose

Judges 6:15-16 “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

Too many times we look at ourselves and think we are not good enough or capable enough to accomplish God’s purpose for our lives. We come up with excuses like Gideon or anyone else. The thing is God’s not looking for perfect or the best person to accomplish His purpose, he is looking for you.

For Gideon he viewed himself as the least qualified person to accomplish God’s purpose for his life. He did not come from the most respected family in the nation and he viewed his family as the least respected. He also looks at himself as the worst choice God could make in his entire family. God though saw things differently, you see God does not need someone who has everything together, He wants someone who is will to surrender control to Him. God decided Gideon was capable, just like He looks at us and decides we are capable. So no matter what you are going through today, remember you are called and capable to accomplished God’s purpose for your life. Think of it this way.

Do you seriously think God can’t use you?
