The Final Reward

Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

We all go through tests and trials in life. There are times when we are at our lowest, our faith shaken or simply struggling to hang on, the valley of death. Maybe we are at the place of victory, the trial is over and we are enjoying peace and rest, peaceful streams and green meadows. No matter what we are facing in life or what has been going on. There is an end and the end is so worth it.

Paul talked about our life as a race and how we must run it with endurance (Hebrews 12:1) because the reward at the end of our race is worth it. (Philippians 3:14) The problem we do have is like a runner our circumstances can distract us. We take our eyes off of our goal and focus on our problems and it can cause us to waiver. No runner ever won a race by looking around to see what everyone else was doing, they won by keeping their focus on reaching the end. We have to do the same and keep our eyes focused on the Savior and eternity.

God wants you to know today that no matter where you are at in life, no matter what you are facing. That He will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5) That His goodness and unfailing love is with you and His desire is for you to finish the race and dwell in his house forever.
