Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

Who or what do you place your trust in? So many times in life we rely on our own strength or on things that we can control but as a believer and a leader we must place our faith and trust in God alone. He is our shepherd and He supplies all we need.

I personally have struggled at times in that faith and trust, I found as a single person it was a lot easier to trust God to see me through transitions in life. As a married person with a family it is difference since now instead of it being me trusting God for myself. I am trusting God for my wife and son. That is a lot harder when other people are relying on you because you don’t want to be wrong or fail because it affects your entire family.

As leaders, and each of us as a believer is called to lead, this can be a struggle too. We want to do the best we possibly can but we also don’t want to fail. So we stay in our comfort zone and lead in mediocrity. Our challenge as believers is God does not want us to live a life of mediocrity, He wants us to experience all He has for us. That is only possible when we place our faith and trust in Him. The question then is what has God laid on our hearts that we are so afraid to act on? Whatever it is, it will not happen till we take the first step and step out in faith. God provides all that we need and when He directs us to do something, He will supply all we need to accomplish it.

Prayer For The Day:

Lord, I place my faith and trust in you. You know the dreams and plans you have given me. You know my worries, fears, doubts and anxieties. I turn them over to you today and I place my trust in you alone. Give me the courage and strength to accomplish all that you have for me today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
