Holy Spirit Pray for Me

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for” -Romans 8:26

I remember a time in life that the song “LaLaLa” By Point of Grace https://youtu.be/ndNhHilnJXQ was a song  I just needed to listen to repeatedly and still even now the Holy Spirit calls it back to mind and I will listen to it. Sometimes prayer isn’t easy. Yes, prayer is simply talking to God and I understand that God wants to be our friend and He wants us to feel comfortable talking to Him. Sometimes the words seem lost and it is at those times I am most thankful that God understands our prayers when we can’t find the words to pray.

Have you ever been there.? You’ve tried to pray and you didn’t know what to say or how to get the words out.?

If you are at a loss for words I won’t you to know in your weakness, when you feel desperate about the things that truly matter to you, and you don’t know what to say, and all you can do is cry out “Jesus!” Don’t worry, even that is enough because there is Someone who is praying for you.  When you are leaning against the wall of desperation, crying out to God, when you whisper, “God, I don’t know what to say. I don’t know how to pray about this,” the Holy Spirit will come alongside and say, “Don’t worry. I’ll pray for you.” And he does. I have told my daughter many times some of the best prayers are unheard and even unspoken. Those prayers arise from a broken heart to God and He does hear the groanings in our spirit that we cannot put into words. He speaks to our Heavenly Father on our behalf, perfecting our words supernaturally to conform to God’s will for us.

The Holy Spirit is faithful to help us in our weaknesses. Verses 18-25 in Romans gives us reasons for why we should hold fast to our hope in the midst of everything. So Be encouraged that when you can’t find the words you are still being understood because the Spirit of God is praying for you and God does not reject those prayers.
