Are You Battling Depression.?

“Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.” - Isaiah 58:8

My problem was that I became extremely sensitive to everything. I could cry in seconds for the smallest remarks, it was easy to make me angry, I was eating anything, staying in bed, and just had a who cares attitude. I didn’t know what to do. Or did I.?  Even though there is the feeling that despair and heaviness are everywhere, we must remember so is God and God is the best answer to depression (not pills).  If you believe the bible it releases God’s power and His presence.  Proverbs 18:14 says “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit?”

It is Only the Power of God that can change you on the outside and also change you deep down on the inside. He works in our surroundings and in your hearts. Depression is the ‘feeling’ of hopelessness. What’s the cure for that? HOPE! God is Hope and He is the only true antidepressant. God wants us to be free of depression. This morning I felt His approval and the joy of giving changed things.

It is great how God gives us the very words that we need to help someone else and by helping others, the light of God’s hope and a sense of His joy will flow into your life.  His word says "If you have been filled with the Spirit, then walk in the Spirit.:"

I received a phone call this morning from someone whom God lays on my heart to share with. He told me 52 minutes before he received an email from me with the link to “It’s time to Let go”. He had just finished having a conversation with someone and asked them the question, “why can’t I let go.”

God’s timing is impeccable. He always knows what we need and when we need it. Which is a reassuring that we have a relationship with Him, He is speaking to us just as we are to Him, and our faith is just as it should be. This just shows that the love and compassion you show to others in your time of pain will come back to you in healing and joy. Helping others reveals your self worth. It shows you that you do have value and that you are and can make a difference. The appreciation I feel from those I have helped brings joy and fulfillment to my heart.

Does your heart long for joy and fulfillment.?

Only by serving you will best find it.  Don’t permit depression in your life! Overcome it by helping others.

Who can you help today.?

Find someone who cannot pay you back, and give them love and acceptance. And if you can afford more than that, give it. Give out of your need! God will bless it. Through the act of giving to others, God will give to you.
