It's Time to Let it Go
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.- Ephesians 3:20
In order for God to do a new thing. It requires us to let go of the old thing. For months I prayed, I fasted, and believed God for a particular house. One that would meet my needs. I planned on my family living in this house and it was available to move into immediately. We were just building our credit and waiting for the time we could purchase. Have you ever put a lot of time, effort, and resources into your plan. You’ve prayed about it, you’ve believed God for it, maybe you even spent money towards it but now you see God is clearly closing the door, and you feel disappointment. Then the thought of “How can I ever let this go.?” comes across your mind and you ask God. You feel like your efforts were a waste and all you see is failure. Have you ever been there.?
It’s in that moment you must dare to trust God has a better plan. You have to fight against the doubts the enemy throws at you to avoid growing negative. You have to let go of what lies behind and strain forward for what lies ahead. God is active! He heals, restores, and guides us into a life of greater abundance in Him. I want to tell you that God wants to do something new and beautiful in your life. But! You must let go of the old so you will be ready and able to receive the new plan God has for you. He knew you were settling for less. You need to remember His words..His plan is to accomplish more for you than you can ask for or even think of. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!
I let go of my plan and when I really chose to let go God showed up and His plan is for me to have a newly built home for my family and I am thankful for all He is providing.
Don’t dwell on past disappointments. Stop thinking about what you should’ve done or would’ve done and look ahead for what God has in store for you.
It’s time to Let it Go! God loves you! He is forgiving and He has great things in store for you!
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 3:12-14
