“Son of man, I’ve made you a watchman for the family of Israel. Whenever you hear me say something, warn them for me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You are going to die,’ and you don’t sound the alarm warning them that it’s a matter of life or death, they will die and it will be your fault. I’ll hold you responsible. But if you warn the wicked and they keep right on sinning anyway, they’ll most certainly die for their sin, but you won’t die. You’ll have saved your life.” -Ezekiel 3:17-19
My heart was torn sitting on the third floor of the courthouse where divorces take place. I wasn’t there for myself but helping someone begin the process of ending an abusive marriage. It was sad to see all the people in the hall, piled in on the staircase, and flooding the courtroom. Questions flooded my mind. “Why do so many people want out.? How many have been given GODLY guidance from someone who has been where they are.? How many actually have God as their center.? Has there ever been anyone who follows the Lord speak up and try to offer insight.? “
So many people think it's better to be quiet and let people make their own mistakes... They have a “It's none of my business attitude” But that's wrong!!!! God takes us through things so we can share wisdom with others. If they don't listen then that's not our problem. But the bible clearly states if you know something is wrong and the bible backs you you. You should not keep it to yourself whether it be marital advice, advice about being generous, advice about drugs, advice about money, advice about kids, advice about sex, advice about parenting, advice about anything in life.!
If you don't share the truth, their sin is left on your hands.- Ezekiel 3:17-19 You are God's spokesman and watchmen. It is your responsibility to reach and correct whether people listen or not. Popularity isn't a measure of righteousness or your effectiveness
“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,”-Proverbs 1:5
You can't assume everyone has always had the best role models in life and you can’t have a ” let them do it their own way” attitude.
“Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.?”-1 Timothy 2:4
Leaders Lead! Regardless of what others think about them. We have to Shine our light! “You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins. Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” -Luke 1:77-79
Correction, if you are correcting in love and if the person receives it with the right attitude will produce the fruit of righteousness. That means your wisdom can help someone else grow and mature spiritually. Think about what would happen in the world if we all just kept knowledge to ourselves. Making mistake after mistake because no one ever spoke up. Look around you, it seems to be that way now. Help someone! Sow Seed! Stop choosing to be quiet. Stop keeping wisdom to yourself and put the truth out there!
“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” -Proverbs 11:14
