More Than Enough

“God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.” -2 Corinthians 9:8

The question yesterday was, “Are you struggling to believe that you deserve it.? “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” Who said you have to deserve what God has for you.?  It’s by the Grace of God we receive the blessings that God wants us to have, deserving or not. and then I ended with, “ it wrong to expect or believe God for more.?”

Truth is God  wants to meet not just our needs, but also our wants. Psalm 23:1 says  “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”.  Psalm 34:9-10 says, “Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”   So,  I take that to mean He wants us to prosper and we  shouldn’t  settle for anything less, by thinking that He will only supplies our needs and not our wants.   It is not for our own motives God wants to give us an abundance. He wants to prosper us because God gives to the one that gives. It’s a spiritual principle. Luke 6: 38 says, “Give and it shall be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you,”.

When you follow God  you cannot remain in lack. Why.? Because God supplies more than what you need and beyond what you have asked! He abundantly blesses all those who live for Him, after all, if He didn’t want us to prosper, then a bare subsistence living would be enough.

We will always have more than enough because God is our supplier.

Father God, I know I am made worthy by the blood of Jesus Christ to receive every good thing You have planned and prepared for me. Forgive me for the times I have placed limitations on Your ability to bless me because I thought I wasn’t good enough or didn’t deserve. It is clear that You want to bless me IN SPITE of me! You are so good to do all the wonderful things You have done and continue doing in my life. Thank You for choosing to bless me with more than enough. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

Who wants a cookie now.? I do.
