Are you Forfeiting.?
“Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.” -1 Timothy 6:12
You need to remember Obedience brings Blessing! Stop looking back at the good old days. You are a child of God! Continue to implement obedience so you do not forfeit God's BEST for your life! Even in adversity and want YOU MUST exhibit faith. It’s no different than when you exhibit faith during times of prosperity and peace. Compromising your faith when you in some way feel threatened will forfeit God’s most powerful opportunities for God to manifest His glory. I know someone that prayed for God’s help and then refused all the blessings He had offered. A car, a home, a way out of the lifestyle they were living because it wasn’t on their terms. They forfeited their blessing from God. You don’t want to miss what God has for you! Following a course of self-will, and self-pleasing only leads to momentary satisfaction and a discovery that "the way of transgressors is hard." -Proverbs 13:15 Not just that but read 2 Chronicles 16:9, poor Asa's heart "was not perfect toward" the Lord, and therefore, he missed God's best for him because at a crisis, he turned to the arm of flesh, instead of relying on the Lord. -2 Chronicles 16:12
It was a spirit of disobedience that caused them to miss their blessing. Are you about to forfeit yours.?
God’s word says, "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it (you will enjoy My best). But His people would not listen to Him; Israel would not submit to God. So He gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices." -Psalm 81:10-16
Don’t fail to respond to all that God has granted to you! If you give up your right to God’s best for you, there will come a time in your life when you will have wished you would have marched ahead in faith.
"No good thing will he withhold from those who walk uprightly" -Psalm 84:11
Don’t throw away what God has for you because of impatience, don’t settle for something that satisfies now. If you sell out and forfeit God’s best for you. You may not ever get it back. If you are trying to blaze your own trail and chase after something you may or pursue something for personal comfort then you are not walking in obedience to the Lord. Repent and once again begin pursuing true satisfaction and abundance you can only find in the Lord as you continue on in the journey after His best.
Don’t retreat! Don’t forfeit! Keep Believing God has His best for You! Continue to Move Forward in Faith!
“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.”-1 Timothy 6:6
