Submit to God's Will

“And he said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.’” -Mark 14:36

We are given several instances of Jesus praying in the gospels. These instances can serve as an example of how we should pray. I’m not going to give some long sermon on this; I’m just going to get right to the point: pray like Jesus! Jesus knew that he was going to suffer persecution if he submitted to God’s will, but he submitted anyway. As you spend time reading the bible, you will begin to understand God’s will for your life, and you have a choice to give in to that will or to pursue what will make you more comfortable. Choose to be uncomfortable! God rewards obedience to him, and your temporary suffering will turn into eternal joy after this life.
