“Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind..” -Mark 5:15
Do you think about what you are thinking about.?
Right mind means to be of sound mind, sane, self-controlled, serious, moderate, sober-minded, restrained, disciplined, able to reason. Of course in this chapter we see that Jesus was casting out demons. Something we rarely hear anyone speaking of and I don’t know why. Because demons and evil are just as relevant today as they were then. Just look at all the evil going on in the world today. It’s evident! I have heard many say well it’s always been this way people just didn’t talk about it as much. My friend that isn’t true. Yes, there has always been evil in the world but we are coming to the end of age and a lot is taking place right now. But there is also a war going on in our minds.
As I said Monday,” The enemy knows whatever he can divide, he can dominate.” That includes your mind! He will use all that he can to try and torment you. Even dreams. I know for myself as a mom many things in this world are concerning, but I am still to walk in peace and trust the Lord with all my heart. I have been woken in night sweats and nightmares (not of monsters but real life scary stuff) and immediately go to God in prayer, quoting scripture, asking Him conform my thoughts to His and my mind to His. I’ve been taking captive thoughts that are not of Him. We have to stand on HIs word and His truth. “No Weapon Formed Against Us Will Prosper!” Declaring out loud that I will not allow any outside force to do my thinking–no man and no spirit.
Our power is in the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Word of God. If you don’t have discernment of the lies of the devil ask God to give it to you. I do not have to be afraid and neither do you. Our God is Bigger and Greater than all the evils in this world. We have to speak to the enemy and all evil forces out loud, binding them in the Name of Jesus, and forbidding them to lie to us and to use our mind. By doing so we will regain peace, our memory, restful nights, and the ability to concentrate and comprehend.
GOD wants us to have a sound mind! There is one thing that will stop us from having this, and that is the spirit of fear. God does not give us fear. God takes away fear ! He replaces fear with His love. “..perfect love casts out fear,..”-1 JOhn 4:18 Fear is an enemy to God! “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe” -Proverbs 29:25
What you think affects your life! When you think evil things you are tempted by evil things. But when your mind is set on Godly thoughts, you are able to “think straight”; you are able to make right decisions, and enjoy the peace of God.
THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS FOR YOU!
Stand in your faith, believing that God will bring a greater deliverance in your mind. You do not need to be tormented in your mind any longer!
Are you having a battle in your mind.? Overcome the enemy by confessing out loud the truth of God’s Word!
God has given us weapons to overcome every battle.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 says “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every THOUGHT into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”
"whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy ~ meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you” -Philippians 4:-6-9
Don’t give up! Continue to follow the Lord, Continue to grow your relationship with Him, Continue claiming what belongs to you (your mind and your thinking belong to you) and Lean on Him in all things, Trusting in Him always.
We will overcome by The Blood of The Lamb and the words of our testimony.
