“We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” -2 Corinthians 3:18

Being transformed into the image of Christ is not something that happens to you without any effort or input on your part at all.

Think about it….Even a caterpillar has to build its cocoon in order to be transformed into a butterfly.

If you are a child of God and you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, Do you plan to become a disciple.? A follower of Jesus Christ .? If your answer is Yes then you must make an effort to be transformed into the image of Christ.

How do we know whether we are being transformed more and more into the likeness of Christ.?

Evidence of transformation within us is seen in the way we increasingly reflect the likeness and glory of Christ. Are you increasingly reflecting Christ likeness.? We must be determined to grow spiritually. -Romans 8:9 Growth is painful because we have to undergo stretching, molding, and refining by the Holy Spirit.

It’s what you do in the growth process, the efforts you make...that is what makes a difference. Your efforts MATTER! You are called to be involved in the process of becoming like Jesus.

For us to be like Jesus we don’t just to stop committing a few obvious sins such as lying, cheating, gossiping, and thinking impure thoughts. For us to be like Jesus we have to always seek to do the will of the God and delight in doing His will and no matter how sacrificial or unpleasant that may seem to us at the time, we do it simply because it is His will.- John 6:38

Jesus is our pattern or mold. We are being transformed so that we will eventually be conformed to the likeness of Jesus. It is important for this to happen because, we must be shaped by the Holy Spirit so that people can come to know Jesus through what they see through us.

Jerry Bridges wrote, “Christlikeness is God’s goal for all who trust in Christ, and that should be our goal also.”

“Oh my Jesus, transform me into yourself, for you can do all things.” – Saint Faustina

Deal ruthlessly with any carnal thoughts in your mind. Depend entirely on God for direction and empowering. Never exalt or glorify yourself. Acknowledge your lack of power and ability to fulfill any mission alone. Know you can’t build a ministry on mere human training or ability alone. Depend on the Holy Spirit as your only true source of ability. Until you see God face-to-face, continually preach that gospel to yourself every day. Spend time in His presence and expect the Spirit to transform you into the image of Christ.

With Jesus in Your life You can rest assured You Are Being Transformed and you will have that abundant life the Gospel proclaims for all people!
