The Abundant Life

Jesus said, “satan comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”  -John 10:10

Many Christians live only an adequate spiritual life, rather than an abundant one. They go through the motions of being “a good Christian,” feeling it is more like a burden than a source of delight and comfort, and habitual sins holds them in bondage. But God intends for believers to experience POWER, PEACE, and JOY!

When you received God’s gift of salvation, the Spirit of Jesus (The Holy Spirit) came to live within you.-Romans 8:9 Do you realize what that guarantees? -Ephesians 1:13-14

One of the Spirit’s roles is to manifest the presence of Christ through our lives. He helps us think, act, and react as Jesus would. As you develop in your relationship with the Lord, you will grow in your ability to allow Him to live through you. This means that your success as a believer isn’t dependent on your ability to follow rules. Instead, the secret is to humbly let Jesus work in and through you.

Galatians 2:20 says “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” In order to have spiritual victory you have to be “crucified with Christ” and let go of the right to run your life how you see fit. You can’t be a Holy person in your own strength! Surrender to Jesus and LIVE BY FAITH! Then you will find the power to live a righteous, confident, joyful life. Confess your inadequacies and stop living in the past! Acknowledge Christ is sufficient and that things are supposed to happen and will on His timetable, Not yours!  Abandon your life to Him and stop letting fear rule you!  Make your life a confession that Jesus lives through you!

Stop enduring a tolerable Christian life and start living the extraordinary life. That is what He has planned for you.  Trust Jesus to live through you. By guiding and empowering you, He will take care of all your troubles. When you live one day at a time, understanding that God sets your course, and you let His peace rule in your heart, the abundant life is yours!  No matter what your age, rank, circumstance, hang-ups, or failures. Are you ready.?
