New Year's Resolution

Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”Romans 16:19-20

A resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something. Resolutions are well-intentioned, unfortunately most people fail at keeping them. With all the hype surrounding these promises, it’s easy to get caught up in it without really taking them seriously.  The only firm decision I made last year was to spend more time with God and I did. That is the same resolution I have for this one. I want more of Him and less of me. I want to go deeper with Him.  I know where I need to pursue excellence, I know where I want greater innocence, and I know what battle I want victory in. This year I am declaring The God of peace will crush Satan under my feet!

What resolutions do you have that are pleasing to God?

Today, identify one thing you want to pursue excellence in, one area you want greater innocence in, and one battle you want to see victory in. Bring these desires to God in prayer.

When you align your priorities and plans with His, you’ll have your best year yet!

Father God, I love you. Thank You for always making me a big priority. You’ve gone out of your way to show me love and compassion. This year, I want to live according to the passions of Your heart. In Your Name I pray, Amen.
