Move Forward

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.-Philippians 3:12-14

The New Year is just around the corner. People will begin creating “the list”.  We sang a song at church Sunday morning called Moving Forward by Israel Houghton. I could feel the Holy Spirit telling me step forward. Sometimes when He tells us to move, we better move. Just the willingness to be obedient makes a difference in the sight of God.  It’s all in making up your mind to take that first step into the unknown and KNOWING that He wont let you go. I stepped forward as many times as He told me to. I want Him to know I am willing to go wherever He wants me to no matter what. We should pray daily for God to bless what we do and forget "the list" -- you know, I know I have failed to get them all done in the past, I have forgotten them and sometimes even misplaced them, how about you.? Often I dismissed them anyway entirely. It is true that man has a plan, but God orders our steps. I had to do away with my lists a long time ago to work on the Scripture verse that says, 'I must decrease so that He will increase in my life' - John 3:30 and I believe Him for Increase.  His word says, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.” -Isaiah 54:2

We are constantly to be moving forward, growing and doing all we can to get the message of God’s love to others. We must make sure that we are living a life that reflects Christ’s nature to attract others to Him. So there is no list of do’s and don’ts for me. Plain and simply put, I want to live my life one day at a time, asking the Lord what He requires. I will take each day and say, 'Lord, what is on your agenda for me today?' If I can find out His plans on a daily basis then I won’t be disappointed at the end of this year or the next. I will Trust in the Lord with all my heart, and do not lean on my own understanding. But In all my ways I will acknowledge Him, knowing that He will make my path straight.- Proverbs 3:5-6

God, I choose to go forward with You because I know You have Your best for me. No matter the struggles, no matter the hardships, and no matter the frustrations. Your Word does not return void! Your word says with the measure I use, it will be measured to back to me, and still more will be added to me. I love you Lord, I am standing on Your promises to me.  I know you have given me a voice that can move mountains with because of Your power that is alive in me. I am following You forward God.  In Your Name I pray, Amen.

MOVE FORWARD! He makes all things NEW!
