Never Alone

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” -Romans 8:38

Many people feel lonely and afraid or that no one really cares about them. Even though we serve God there are times we may feel lonely or afraid. Just remember to turn to the Lord for help. God, promises that He will always be with us and that nothing will ever separate us from His Love.

Don't feel you are weak or weird because you feel lonely. There's no need to feel ashamed of your loneliness. In fact, if you find one or two friends to talk with about it, you will probably find that they feel lonely also (or have at one time or another), and you can encourage each other. Also remember that God wants to be your best friend—He wants you to talk with Him about everything. And as your relationship with God becomes stronger and more intimate, you will not feel so lonely anymore.

God designed and created us to desire and need companionship, friendship and fellowship. The bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” To feel alone and unloved hurts terribly.

God understands loneliness, read Hebrews 4:14-16. But He doesn’t want you to be focused on it. So often being alone brings feelings of fear and anxiety. Sometimes even helplessness. But once again, we see the great God offering us the promise of strength and help regardless of the physical situations in which we find ourselves.-1 Peter 5:6-7 Claim God’s promises He makes to you! Don’t focus on being lonely or afraid or you will entertain fears and lies instead of turning your eyes towards God. If you do become distracted or in a lost state know that God will not leave you there.

A.W. Tozer said it best, “We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.”

Like a ray of light piercing the ocean; God reminds us with His word that nothing can separate us from His Love. He pours out His grace and mercy upon our lives, He takes away our fears, He silences our worries, and He heals our pain with His simple reminder that whispers to us: “I am with you. I love you. Follow me.”

“Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.”-Proverbs 12:25

Father God, thank You for not leaving us abandoning us. Thank you for the promise that you are always with us and we are never alone. Lead us Lord. Hold our hands and our hearts close to You as we travel this journey with You, in Jesus Name, Amen.
