Don't just talk the talk, walk the walk!

1 Thessalonians 1:5 "For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you."

Do your words make people think you are a Christian or are your actions reflecting the love of Christ that has people knowing you are a follower of Jesus.

St. Francis of Assisi once said, "Preach the gospel, when necessary use words."

As believers we must live our lives like Paul did before the Thessalonians. They realized who he was and the message he carried not simply by the words he spoke but because of the power of God operating in his life and by his actions and attitudes that reflected the love of Christ.

Too many times in life we say things we really do not mean. We live life judging people by their actions and judging ourselves by our intentions. God though isn't concerned with intentions or with only what we say. He is looking for believers who are willing to trust Him and take a step of faith. He is looking for someone who will put their words into action.

Take some time today and reflect if you have only been claiming to be a believer in your words and not matching those words with your walk. Then make the commitment to not just talk the talk but walk the walk of the Christian life.
