“Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them, that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.” -Psalm 106: 4-5

The best definition of favor is “demonstrated delight.” One way some describe the favor of God is by saying that there is tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord. Favor is God’s “I’m for you” attitude and it is inevitable when you have chosen to walk in step with the God . Jesus experienced the favor of God immediately after He was baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Father spoke an affirming and grounding word to Him saying:“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” -Luke 3: 22

God is seeking out those who love Him and love His commands so that He can bless, guide, and protect them.

What are your expectations in life?

Your expectations have a lot to do with what happens in your life. If you expect the worst, then you will get the worst.-Proverbs 23:7 The level of favor you experience in life rises to your level of expectation. There is no way around it; if we are to grow in favor with God and men, we are going to have to raise our expectations and believe that God wants us to be blessed with His favor. That does not mean that everyone who is prosperous or healthy has found favor with God.- Jeremiah 12:1 It also does not mean if we have the Lord favors will never suffer difficulties. You can find this out by reading about Moses, Noah, Daniel, Mary, and Esther. One morning I woke up to a beautiful fog, in that moment all was quiet and I felt a peace like never before and God’s love surrounding me. I will share it with you later today. A little later I was scrolling Facebook and ran across a post my Pastor wrote she said “The FOG is thick this morning. Maybe He’s reminding us that even when we can’t see our way down the road of life HIS FAVOR is covering us!” -Pastor Reita Ball

That is so true! If you have the Favor of God that during your struggles remaining true to Him will never go unrewarded because He goes before us. If you are walking in God’s favor you know that God is with you and that nothing can happen to you apart from His good purpose.-Romans 8:28

Walk with God as your closest friend. Finding favor with the Lord keeps our lives and thoughts pure because we desire to please Him more than we desire to please ourselves.

God wants to bless you, personally, with His favor. Enlarge your mindset to expect and believe for His favor, and as you open your mouth to confess God’s promises, you can find favor with God and man!

Father God, Thank you for Your favor in my life. Remember me God when You show favor to Your people so I too may enjoy prosperity as one of your chosen. Through faith, I believe You will move on my behalf and my loved ones too. With all my heart and mind, I seek to keep my focus on You. I shall diligently walk by faith and not by sight as Your Spirit leads me. I know as I abide in You, Your truths, and Your righteous ways of living that You will grant me favor. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
