WHAT IF.......

What IF…

“My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.” II Corinthians 12:9

It seems that we are daily bombarded by situations in our lives that cause us to give in to worry and fear. Especially this day in age with ISIS, Ebola, the economy, etc….when instead we should be choosing to live in the moment – in the WHAT IS –stop quickly move to living in the what ifs. WHAT IF I lose my best friend, WHAT IF the terrorists attack, WHAT IF Ebola spreads rapidly, WHAT IF I lose my job, WHAT IF I lose my health, WHAT IF I lose my life, WHAT IF I get in a wreck, WHAT IF I never get married, WHAT IF I don’t have enough money.  Sound familiar.?

Moses played the what if game when God spoke to him through the burning bush. -Exodus 4:1 “But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?”

"Fear is placing faith in the WHAT IF’s and what you fear is what you value the most. That is not a bad thing.  But what you fear reveals where you trust God the least."-Craig Groeschel

Trust God in everything. He knows how to protect His righteous ones. "He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. … For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone."-Psalm 91

Learn to experience God’s grace one day at a time. His grace is enough for me today, for what is true in my life right now. Instead of looking at world news and the events going on and searching out information on Google to check out everything that could happen; I need to go to God’s word and focus on what He says. I need to discipline my mind to be satisfied that God’s grace is enough today, tomorrow, and for all my life! Instead of wasting my energy and worrying about what might happen, I need to thank Him and celebrate that He is all I need for what is true today.

What are your what ifs today? Leave them with the Lord and trust Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you that Your grace is enough for what is true in my life today. Because of that, I will choose to be satisfied and not live in the what ifs. Help me to trust You, and to discipline my mind to not worry about the what if's and the things ahead. In Your Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

Start enjoying God’s grace every day!
